You don`t need to take the effort of walking, just take a horse carriage and do nothing but enjoy the beautiful scenery and smell the scent of nature. Horse-drawn carriage rides are available at scheduled times or upon request from private. When entering the Roseg Valley and nearby the hotel, you will see the carriages that take you anywhere.

A paradise for bikers
On the good, unpaved road you bike slightly uphill through the beautiful Roseg Valley to the Hotel Restaurant Roseg Gletscher. Going back to Pontresina train station you can do a fast-paced ride. The track is suitable for everyone.

Instructive entertainment on the kids' discovery trail
Experience the new and exciting nature trail for kids "Fix shows you his world" which is leading into Roseg Valley. With Fix, the cunning fox, kids will learn new things about the forest, the animals, hunting and a lot more. Children following his trail right to its end will be rewarded with a surprise.

Would you like to go for a walk or a mountain tour?
A hike into the Roseg Valley can be a leisurely stroll as well as a starting point for long hikes to the SAC huts Coaz and Tschierva and from there to serious touring the Bernina region or the Fuorcla Surlej.

Cross country skiing
In winter, a trail for classic cross-country skiing leads from Pontresina along the Roseg creek to our Hotel Restaurant Roseg Gletscher. When the snow conditions are good a simple trail in flat terrain leads two kilometers further to the glacier. On your way back you slide downwards through the pine and larch forests till you reach Pontresina. » Overview trails

You can reach our hotel within a short time from Pontresina train station by taking a horse carriage or by walking. With the famous train - Bernina Express - you make one of the most magnificent panorama journeys in the world from Chur via Albula into the Engadine and then up to the Bernina Pass and - without gear drive - down to southern Valposchiavo following the breathtaking spiraling viaduct in Brusio before reaching the final destination Tirano from where the train goes back to Chur.
